The only competition in my mind would be from Wing Commander , and depending upon my mood and what I'm playing, perhaps those are my favorite games. But today, it's going to have to be Might and Magic. I was originally exposed to it as a kid via the Amiga version of Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World.
